Hosting International Students

    Hi all

We hosted a few international students since the spring time. The company we used was <SNIP>. There was a set fee and it was all fine for a while. Then the company started getting lax with making payments. And then there was an incident where we came home and a completely different student was in our house. They had to move him from a student apartment in a hurry because he had been accused of sexual harassing another student.
Against better judgement we kept at it for another while and finished up with them in July, opting to <MOD: use an alternative service> instead. We were due the balance of payment last week but received nothing. Upon contacting them via text and phone, they assured us they were paying us asap. I contacted them today and they had a completely different tune; they had decided to stop working with us because of complaints (never received one complaint!), and the last student had left after two days (also not true). I have texts from them hounding us to take more students up until two weeks ago.
I think they are trying to pull a fast one because we are not hosting any more. Has anyone else worked with this company and experienced something similar. I'm thinking of taking them to the small claims court.
