I work shifts and can anyone tell me if I am entitled to bank holiday pay if I do not work on the day of the bank holiday.

Lets say my 2 weeks shift wage is 1k should I get 1k plus the Bank holiday or do I not get it because I had the day off even tho I still completed 80 hours in the period.

If you do not work a bank holiday, you are entitled to be paid for the bank holiday as if you had worked it, or you are entitled to an additional day's annual leave.

The amount to be paid is one-fifth of your average weekly wage over the last 13 weeks.
