HK stuff sounds reasonably good to me on the few occasions I've heard it.

Let's face it, you're doing weddings, your crowd aren't going to walk out if you don't provide a Funktion One rig, so maybe try and figure out if it'll be:
    • Lighter
    • More durable
    • Easier to get parts for
    • Easier to repair
    • Better working record (not known for going on fire mid-gig!)

Also, unfortunately you've asked the question if "it'll do", and this question cannot be answered. Every room is different, every crowd is different. I'd suggest that a pair of active tops+bins tends to be standard for wedding DJ's and in this respect, your employer will probably not be disappointed.

Nobody can answer for you whether it'll do though I'm afraid.

I play in a wedding band and do DJ.

If there is one thing I learnt is that you only need cover the dance floor. Trying to get the room covered is a waste of time before you are asked to lower down. Plus some folks wanna talk.

The HK stuff is good bang for buck and easily replaceable parts. RCF imho make the best active gear there is. Ensure your subs can take/have wheels.

If you are a one man operation then light multiple parts are a better option so take the weight of gear into account. If you go passive then ensure you can run NL4's, make your setup very quick.

Lastly, you mentioned SPL rather than watts... I tip my hat to you.

hey I have taken all factors into consideration on why it is a good fit for me,

like my lighting rig I want to have the extra headroom when needed,

Weight is not a problem for provide its reasonable, looking at amp for this is proving hard, bins are 500 rms/1000 watts peak at 4ohms,tops 400 rms and 800 peak at 8 ohms
