Whats wrong with my tree?

I have a large tree in the corner of my front garden and it always so full and looks like its flourishing, but I was up close to it today and seen that its leaves are covered in black spots.

Looking around it, a large percentage of the leaves are the same, with only the ones very high up which look a different shade and healthier (perhaps these are new shoots?).

Is the tree dying? Or is it nothing to be worried about?

Its just tar spots on sycamore, asthetic damage only, no need to worry as lots of sycamore have it.
