Hi - I'm in North co Dublin. Would anyone know where I could get laminated/coated sheets of timber for making wardrobe shelves? Or suggest what might be good?
    Thanks!

    How wide is the wardrobe?

Ikea will sell shelves quite cheap, they are slightly under 100cm wide, maybe you could trim to size?

Any builder providers will sell white conti board / menomine I think it's called too. You can get various widths/thicknesses. If your going to put heavy stuff on the shelf go for 20mm.

You can get white blocks which will screw in to the sides and the shelf will sit on.

Perfect, thanks a lot! Contri board is what I had in mind, didn't know what it was called :)

Go for the ticker stuff (20mm i think) if the wardrobe is very wide. I have a utility press at home and the shelves are made from the ticker conti board and its very sturdy.

Also the shelf doesn't have to go all the way out to the door, so choose the width of conti board that's not as deep as the wardrobe.

Noyeks in Finglas are great for boarding if you want a different finish. I got stuff for my wardrobe off them last year. Pretty sure I seen they do half sheets aswell and they deliver. There's another place in Ballymount but can't remember the name (panneling centre maybe?).

I've got stuff from Larrys DIY in Drumcondra before, and they cut to size if you want which was a big bonus http://www.larrysdiy.com/
