Hi guys im currently working an internship at a production company at the moment and money is very tight as i only get 230 weekly and i pay child support and rent which eats into the majority of the money i get each week.

I went to the citizens information office today and they said to apply for rent supplement and gave me the forms to fill in. My question is about whether ive to put my name on the social housing list, the guy at the office said ive to put my name down even though theres no chance of getting a house its just a prerequisite. Also where would i go to put my name down? Is it done at a local social welfare office?

Secondly, there is a section for my employer to fill out on the form about how much they pay me ect ect, but as far as i was aware all the money i get is from the social. So would they just put down zero in those sections?

    Cheers
