Retreaded Tyres

I'm wondering if there's any way to identify retreaded tyres?

Say you are buying part-worns, how would you know if they've been retreaded or not?

Are there any visual tell-tale signs?

    I think you mean remoulds

Remoulds are will look like new tryes but they often have a unusual brand name. The are usually a little more expensive than part worns but cheaper than new budget tyres.

But telling part worn remoulds from part worn regular tyres would be difficult. Only sure way would be checking the brand name and look for the wording remould on side of tyre ( nearly sure remoulds have the wording written on side)

Sometimes the letters of the brand name will be half gone,as was the case on a couple I got once.

I thought they have to be labelled remould

Colway Rally tyres are remoulds, and are pretty good.

Remoulds vary enormously in quality. That's the real issue.
