Welfare and Access Courses

Hello, I'm hoping to start an access course in UCD in September. Im also hoping that I can claim JSA while doing this. From what I've read, you can claim JSA and do part time courses as long as they do not exceed 16 hours a week, leaving you viable to seek full time employment. The course in question is under 16 hours a week. Does anyone have any experience of doing access courses and claiming welfare? Many thanks

I did a part time course and continued to receive jsa. Once you can meet all the jsa requirements e.g. available for work; actively seeking full time work etc

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
