Are any of the major chain's garlic pizzas vegan? I mean the ones that are basically a pizza base with garlic, no cheese. I particularly miss 4 Star pizza's garlic pizza since going vegan. Is there any chance that's actually vegan? ?

Milanos bases are vegan and they even do a vegan pizza which is on their menu.

For all the other brands go to their website and have a look at the nutritional info. That should tell you.

Not a takeaway pizza but Goodfellas do a frozen garlic pizza bread thing that's vegan, sounds like what you're describing, just a base topped with garlic.

    Milanos one sounds nice
Spinach, chestnut mushrooms, pine kernels and artichoke on a spicy arrabbiata base, finished with rocket and extra virgin olive oil (no cheese)

Lots of their veggie ones sound good, just remove the cheese.

I get a pizza with just garlic and mushrooms on it from my local italian, which is amazing, could look into restaurants like that?

The Milanos one is yum, had it a few times now. Hmmm that Goodfellas one sounds good for a weekend junk food binge!

Something I tried recently is a garlic potato pizza but I made it myself at home.
Basically buy a vegan friendly pizza base.
Fry a chopped onion in an oil of your choice slowly until caramelized. Spread the caramelized onion on your pizza base.
Next slice a potato in very thin slices like you would to make crisps.
Heat a fair bit of oil in a pan (re-use the one you fried the onions in to save cleaning) and drop in some chopped garlic and rosemary. Remove from the heat.
Drizzle some oil over the onions, add a thin layer of sliced potato and then drizzle on the remainder of the oil.
Bake until the potatoes go golden.
    Enjoy the nom
