I have signed off this week but I'm just wondering will that automatically stop my rent allowance payment or do I need to contact the community welfare officer separately to stop the payment?

It would do no harm to write a letter to the CWO informing him/her of the change in your circumstances.

Once you jobseekers closes then rent will get automatic notification and they will stop that claim.

you should notify them, but they will stop your rent once its shown on the system that you have signed off, but depending on your income you might still be entitled to claim rent allowance.
