Mineral licks for calves

A few of my March born bucket fed calves were showing signs of copper deficiency (coats off colour etc.) so I injected them with a copper supplement about ten days ago. Today I bought calf to beef mineral lick but I'm afraid if I put it out, they might be getting too much copper, as it is one of the minerals included.…

Today I bought calf to beef mineral lick but I'm afraid if I put it out, they might be getting too much copper, as it is one of the minerals included. Should I hold off on the mineral lick for a while or is it safe to go ahead?
