I've been accepted to ucc to do arts international but I cant decided which subjects to pick.

I've done some reading and discovered it's not recommended to do more than two heavy subjects at a time. I honestly have no clue as to why is considered a heavy subject!

I was thinking if doing English German and history as I have always enjoyed them at school etc.
It's the last subject I'm struggling with.

Originally I was considering European studies but now I'm not sure. I'm also considering doing beginners Italian or sociology.

Could anyone who's done any of the above shed some light on what it's like to actually study the courses?

    Thanks
