Definately use a loss assessor - you will get a far better deal as the full claim will be made on your behalf. I was offered 5500 on a claim and when the assessor went over it all he got me over 12,000. Well worth it.

depend on the situation, different products or claims need to be dealt with in different ways. ive dealt with a fair few insurance claims in the last couple of years and its fairly straight forward when you know what their likely to pay and what not. they always low-ball the first offer too.

I used Pro Insurance Claims for mine, I reckon they made me money, they speak the same language as the insurance companies. It's like everything, you can try yourself but ya could mess it up.

Never will do a claim for insurance on my own again. Got a guy to do claim for me was well worth it.
