We recently switched back from Horizon to a separate modem because of Horizon's poor wifi coverage, however the new modem isn't much better with poor wifi coverage upstairs compared to the UPC modem we had prior to switching to Horizon. I have a TP Link power line which is a help but it's still a bit patchy.

Our contract is up in October and I was just wondering if it's a good idea to stick with UPC or maybe switch the Eircom's efibre which they're doing for €24 for 6 months.

Anyone have an opinion on which would be best?

Many of UPC's routers are set to ch1 as default which provide poor coverage as a result, each router use different methods to log onto but google your model of how to logon to and change the wireless freq to either 11 or 7 which usually work best here.
