Could a PIR be added to this light?

    External light over porch. Could a PIR be added to this and where would it be wired? How is the PIR powered?

    It is probably obvious a circular glass goes over the light

    I could not get your link to work, if this is a mains type light then yes you can get an electrical standalone type PIR detector to work with with. I would recommend Steinel.

    +1 on the steinel sensors brand.

    Depending on your exact setup, It may work out to be cheaper to buy a floodlight with a PIR built in. straight swap on the wall and no need for extra cabling or drilling holes for a PiR to be mounted
