Can I get back payment ?

    I foolishly waived my rights to child support several years ago ( I didn't want my child to have anything to do with her drunk and abusive father and he certainly didn't want to know her ) That was all fine back in the Celtic tiger years , but now I need support . I know I'm entitled to go after him for support from the date I apply to the courts , but do you think I can ask for back payments for the years he's missed, considering I signed an agreement saying I wouldn't ? I really need a lumpsum to help pay off many debts accumulated .

    Agreement or no agreement, no you can't.
