Rejected due to partner's earnings

Recently my hours have been cut to a 2/3 day week. I applied for the Part time/casual JA, but have been rejected due to my girlfriends earnings which are roughly 600euro weekly. My earnings weekly will be around the 150e mark. We pay rent of 1150 per month, we are nowhere near getting married and recieving money off her is not much of an option.

Is there any way i can appeal this or am i screwed? They have me down as recieving 300 odd euro from her weekly which is frankly ridiculous.

Do you live together? If so there's no way to appeal, unless you move into separate accommodation.
