    Hello I was just wondering if anyone knew what was involved in the medical for the Esb apprenticeship? If anyone can help it would be much appreciated thanks!

    I think its fairly standard.

    Ishihara Colour Blindness test
    Urine Sample/Drug test
    Lung Capacity test
    Blood Sample
    Back/Mobility

    Did any1 else hear about the medical and what number did they ring you on and also did they email you aswell ?

    Hi everyone new to boards.ie so bear with me as i need some time to get used to it...

    Am patiently waiting for the application lines to open for the apprenticeships this year!!!
    Anybody apply and suceed last year or the previous years and would like to share their experiences (both good and bad).
    My background!
    I am 24 years old< did my leaving in 2009, left school and served my time as a Butcher and Abbatoir man in a butcher shop in west cork!!

    I Have little experience in the electrical trade and am wondering would my previous experience of dealing with customers on a daily basis help or hinder my application!!
