Not a whole pile of interest in the run up to the big race this week but one I can't help but watching is Meihua in the 6:50 at Sligo. Its breeding suggests the shorter trip should suit, but from having watched it a few times, I think it needs the 10f. Needless to say, it goes off tomorrow at a rock bottom mark with the excellent Sean Corby on board. Currently 12/1 and might even go a bit bigger.

One I've done for tomorrow and is fancied to be rightly in the mix.

    7.50 Sligo
    Johnstons Best @ 11/2

Was down to run today but was pulled due to ground, likewise last week in Cork so waiting a while for this one to run again.

Davy Russell in the saddle is a plus and was staying on the whole time lto after getting into some trouble on the home bend and lossing ground to go down only by a length.

Been absolutely pissing rain for a good while in sligo so ground likely to be fairly soft.

Bugger, think I will not bother with Meihua then, he would want to fairly fast.

2nd again by a neck, dunno if it's meant to be with her, they've waited a while now to land one with her.

Step up in trip maybe now on the cards, will get the run down on her anyway and what the plan is. Davy couldn't have done much more, got her back into the race when she looked to be in trouble.
