To Bring a Jacket Or Not Bring a Jacket

I'm faced with this terrible dilemma everyday.

I look out my window, The day starts off warm and sunny, no need for a jacket. I don't need something encumbering me all day as I'm walking around. Now the evening comes, it's cold, maybe a bit rainy, I feel unhappy, why didn't I bring a jacket.

    Or

I look out my window, The day starts off warm and sunny, no need for a jacket. However it might rain later, I'll bring a jacket. Now I'm sweating, people are looking at me, I feel like a freak because I look out of place wearing a jacket. The evening comes. I feel good because I brought my jacket, look at all those fools in their shorts.

I'd really welcome your ideas on how to deal with this dilemma. How to cope with the ever changing Irish weather

Bring a bin bag. They roll up small. Killens wheelybin liners are great to stop wind chill and up to heavy mist.

I always see nice ones in Next and River Island!

Don't cheap out and get a Converse or Adidas retro one. Get a nice brown leather number!

Why the hell would anyone ever do that? It's not like it's remotely accurate

Don't be offended, gays aren't actually allowed to run shops.

I sympathise with the op. When I left the house today it was definitely hat and coat weather but within twenty minutes I was ready to drop from near heat exhaustion. Another twenty or so minutes and its back to wind and rain.

Roll on autumn and good riddance to treacherous Irish summers imo.

Always bring a jacket OP. It's handy for keeping things in and you never know when it's going to be shyte weather.

Just do what any normal person does...wear a hoody. Or become a hermit.

Aw come on guys, why dont you just get your valet to walk behind you with half your wardrobe, + wellies, umbrella and a snifter of hot toddy. Thats what I do, though I do make him walk 10 paces back so people dont know he's with me.

I consulted accuweather this morning. It was raining at the time, but said the walk home would be dry. Drove to work, walked home, no coat, no problem.
