Plasma Pistol

Hello, I am trying to get the Covenant Loadout Mastery at the moment. The last weapon I have to max is the plasma pistol, Think i'm up around level 3 on it at the moment, so have a lot more kills to get. Does anyone have any tips, because I am beginning to think this is going to be a long and frustrating endeavour. cheers
