I got an offer today from carlow college to study humanities level 7 pc402. I think I would really like the course but I also have a plc I'm really interested in - marketing and public relations at GTI, which I could use to transfer to GMIT next year I know I want a career in public relations and I know I could probably get into it with humanities I'm very conflicted but thankfully have until the 25th to make up my mind.
If anyone had experience of the humanities course in Carlow or Carlow in general do share with me :)

If this is any help, I am going into my final year of Media & Public Relations at IT Carlow- I took one year out after two years of the course to get experience and I am now working in marketing & public relations. If you know that PR is where you want to be, I might suggest doing the PLC and continuing on to GMIT.

Any chance that you, "lilymaher" might be able help this poster out too please? Appears they're doing same one as you albeit going into 1st Year of it. Thanks.

(I am also going into it as a Mature Student)

If you want to do PR and have a PLC course that will start you on your way, then go that way.

I am in my last year of the Humanities degress, and it suits me. Lots of philosophy, english, psychology, history. It depends whether those subjects interest you or even help you in your career, and if it will help you get where you want to go.
