Six of Hearts is one I've long followed and though he was once a smart horse he hasn't won in over three years, though there's nothing wrong with his attitude and I think he's ready to strike soon and so is worth a chance tonight and I think 14/1 is very big. His last victory was in a Gr.3 at the Curragh and was subsequently rated 109 and contested mostly group races and was able to be competitive, including when runner up to Duff and Gordon Lord Byron. Ran well last summer when runner up at Navan off a mark of 95 and ran well for the most part for the remainder of the year, just failing to get up at the Curragh last October when rated 94.

Has predominantly ran well this year, not beaten far in a couple of runs at Naas, Navan (beaten only 2 1/2 lengths into third by Shipyard who he re-opposes today off six pounds better off) and was beaten under half a length a few starts back at Gowran off four pounds higher, finishing ahead of Glassatura who is half of his price tonight. The only bad race he's really ran was last time out but soft ground around Sligo was never going to suit and he is well drawn here with ground he likes, hopefully he can go well

Shipyard was 2nd in dundalk yesterday? at 12/1.... I think you could be onto something. surely the extra furlong and the 4lbs can help her out and fran berry on board.....

Ellaal 3:45 Thirsk again for me today, Didn't like the ground the last time but think 8/1 is a massive price for this horse.

Have also been given a nod by a work colleague who's brother in law is connected to redallstar in the 5:40 at Roscommon, Says is in with a great shout tonight.

Its worth keeping an eye out for any money on Giant Sequoia in the 7:20 at Wolverhampton.
He's a former Barney horse with Des Donovan, has acquitted himself reasonably well in his two runs this year, and what is very significant is that he's been declared for a similar race on Wednesday, so if winning today could turn out again with just the manditory penalty.

its also interesting to see elusive ridge dropped back to this distance. most of its places over its career have been 6/7f. . think it could be worth a few bob e/w

    Two singles for me today.

Woodsophiesmile in the 6:10 @ 5/2 (Powers) and Grandma Dotty in the 6:40 to place at 3.8 (Betfair).

That was painful, tipped this up for Galway and it ran like a pig then - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=91513574&postcount=16
Best bet of the festival I have seen so far has to be Grandma Dotty in the second last at Galway. 25/1 looks a stonking price for a horse that has already won over the distance, is open to improvement and is at a basement weight in a fairly poor contest. Had actually booked marked this one over its last appearance over hurdles when it fell while travelling like an absolute dream and might just have won the race at a very big 33/1. Today it goes back in trip on the flat, my only real concern is whether it will like good ground or not. Competitive enough performances at Dundalk would seem to suggest at very least that it won't hate it. Horse is quite lightly ridden and inexperienced, so I'd hope from the draw that it can be tucked inside for most of the race before being switched out wide where a good turn of foot could see it go close.

Nice shout Francie. How on earth can a horse go off at 2/9 in a handicap at Roscommon. Actually backed her the day she won her maiden at the track

slowly away and finished 4th beaten just over a length, will have my money on if he runs again on Wednesday.

Think you're being very unfair tbh. Win at Tramore was on the back of a 370 day absence and that run clearly took more out of the horse just 2 days later than they thought. Travelled like the best horse, was put into the race to win but just looked to be feeling the effects of Sunday's excursions.
