Recent O'Flynn Judgement

I read with interest the O'Flynn judgement in the High Court last week. Was it a proper ruling ? Does it give encouragement to others who are in default with massive loans to continue as before?
Is it proof of the old adage; Owe the bank a few thousand and they will hound you to the end of the earth; but owe them thousands of millions and you will be treated with kid gloves ( not necessarily by the banks, but by the courts.)?
Does anyone have any opinions about this issue.
