    Hi,

I bought online a few weeks a return train ticket dublin to cork - outward journey today. As it happens I got a lift today so didn't need to get the train. What I'm wondering is will my return ticket be available at the collection machine in cork station when I I want to return in a couple of days?

The customer services line isn't open til tomorrow to ask

    Thanks

Yes. You will need your ticket number and security code. In theory, they may ask for the original payment card, but this is exceptionally rare.

You can collect at any ticket vending machine - there are no dedicated ticket collection machines any more (to my knowledge).

In future, if you know you aren't travelling, you can ask for a refund up to the day before travel.

You bought an Open return but didnt print off the ticket yet? Worse case scenario is that It may come up as an invalid number when you try and print off the ticket as it would be past the departure date on the outward part of the ticket. Best option is to go to a ticket machine in good time before your return leg and give it a try. If the ticket has not been printed from the ticket machine then they might be able to print it off manually for you off the system.

Sorry for the delay- thanks for the replies. Ya I rang them aswell....got a bit of a rushed answer from them but basically my ticket will still be in the system to collect tomorrow.

I didn't know for def til the morning of travel that I wouldn't need the outward ticket otherwise I would have rang for a partial refund. I got the ticket at a good price online of €29.98 so I didn't mind too much! :)

They dont do refunds anymore for any unused portions of open or day return tickets.
