Sky Plus box signal strength differences

Older Thomson Sky plus box, running off a multiswith in the roof, I get occasional signal drop outs, and on checking the signal strength on the box, the second tuner is showing lower strength and quality compared to the first tuner. Tuner 2 is around 50% strength and quality, which I suspect is marginal, and what's causing issues when heavy weather comes through. Tuner 1 is probably 90% strength and 80% quality, which is a significant difference.

I've tried swapping the inputs, and there's no change, so it's not the incoming signal that's the problem, with the incoming coax swapped, the signal strengths are exactly the same so it's related somehow to the tuner in the box.

Anyone else seen issues like this, and if you have, how have you resolved it?

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁
