    My 12-year-old is interested in giving this a try. Absolute beginner. Any recommendations?

    There are classes in Killashee. Pretty sure you don't have to be a member of the gym.

    your dead right you do not have to be a member of the gym to join the karate club,the guys name is martin nulty who teaches,would strongly recomend him very good with kids,he also trains in kilcullen on mon at 6.45 in community centre and killashee on sat at 11 and wed at 6.
