Query re installing a multi fuel stove

    Can any compent diyer install a stove in their fire place or is there any legal obligation to use a certified person/company. Another words if I was to install a stove in my house would it void the house insurance

    The other question I have, I have seen plenty of places selling stoves but not so many installing them. Any recommendations, going the flexible liner route so will be a little more work involved.

    No you don't have to use a company.
    The stove must be fitted as per Irish building regs and manufacturers instructions.
    The flexi liner is the right route to go it must be a min of 150mm diameter and connects to stove with a solid pipe.

    Thanks RG, any particular part of the building regs apply to install the stove or is it just common sense stuff.
