When do I have to renew my permit?

    Hi, my first learners permit is due to expire soon. Do I have to renew it before it expires or can it be done after?

    Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    You have to apply for your full test before you can renew it i think

    Oh rite my mistake lol. Well you can renew it whenever you want. But you obviously cant drive while its expired

    Unless they've changed the process since NDLS came in, you can renew it if it's expired up to a certain number of years (can't remember exactly how many)

    Just make sure its done in the 5 year window!some people dont bother for years then get told they must start from the very start again,theory test etc,my own is due to expire in the coming months also so i'll have to get mybown skates on.
