Dunnes stores induction

    Hey guys I have my induction for dunnes, was just wondering what to expect and how long it will take ? I'm pretty nervous !

    I think it takes around 2 or so hours between signing forms, watching those horrible food safety and manual handling videos from the 80's and fittings for the uniform. Most people wore smart casual for it. Bring bank details/PPSN

    It does depend on the store. I have worked in two branches. The first time, my induction was about 10-4 with an hour break, since the big group of us were going to all parts of the stores (Grocery, Textiles, Homewares). The second time, we just covered the sections related to our section (Homewares, selling knives, no food safety, etc). In reality, we should have covered everything as management can always move you to another section.

    Make sure to wear black trousers because sometimes they can put you on the shopfloor for an hour if you are till trained or the manager can train you there on the till.
