When buying a house (straight up cash purchase, no mortgage), how long does it take to receive title deeds following a purchase?

Provided of course the solicitor does all his end of the work.

Your Solicitor will receive the Deeds when the money is paid over and the keys released.

This is going to depend on the status of the land, whether it is registered or unregistered. Registered land gas been dealt with in a uniform manner in the Land Registry for decades and can be updated quite quickly. Unregistered land gas historically been dealt with in the Registry of Deeds involving voluminous sheafs of ancient paperwork. If you purchase unregistered Kane today, you must apply to transfer it to the Land Registry so that the modern manner applies to all transfers in the future. That process, unless attested to by a solicitor who becomes liable for any deficiency in title, can take up to 18 months. Both the Land Registry and Registry of Deeds fall under the combined Property Registration Authority of Ireland. 6 years ago I purchased some registered land in a cash transaction and I think I had the new title certificate in a short number of weeks.
