Hi I am looking at buying a laptop that has a 1024GB SATA hard drive.
I have never seen this before and normally just read Hard drive: 750 GB etc,
So I am wondering does SATA hard drive mean anything to the average bloke.
I have goggled it but I got bog down betwween ssd and hdd not sata?
Any input would be great thanks

SATA is just the modern connection hard drives use. SSDs would also use SATA connection. Don't worry about it.

It's only relevant if you try to put a SATA hard drive into an old machine that uses the older connection type called IDE.

You're searching for the wrong thing most likely. They wont call it 1024GB, theyll mark it 1TB instead. They arent uncommon.
