    Can any of you tell me what the combustion settings for the above range should be? Also is this red screw the test point? That would seem to be directly in the flame. 318561.jpg

    Test point is only for smoke pump test I reckon ?
    Same on old CHAPPEE oil boilers ?
    Can burn tube on smoke pump. Temps 500+

    Thats the limit of my experence as I avoid cookers mate .
    Hopefully somebody else can help. Is it a normal pressure jet burners ?
    If so id look for normal settings of.

    11%Co2
    <50ppm co

    I would look for similar, but where to place the probe. Maybe make up something for the cast iron cleaning cover. It's not something I want to put too much time into as it's a favour for a friend of a family member who is in dire financial difficulty. Owes the Stanley service man for last service he did 5 years ago. Wants me to get it going well enough to finish the last of his oil. I told him there isn't such a thing as well enough. It's either going safely or not at all.
    I hope it's not one of those "no good turn goes unpunished" sort of favours.

    If possible drill flue for test.

    STRONGLY recomend a carbon monoxide alarm .

    Bang on on the CO. I have told him that I will not do anything until I see one and he removes the sliding cover from his room vent.
