Growing beans

This is my first year for seriously trying to grow beans. I have harvested good quantities of Runner Bean variety enorma and French Climbing Borlotto Lingua di Fuoco - has anyone else out there planted other varieties of beans that have been particularly successful (suited to Ireland's erratic climate). G
