Insulate tank with spray foam

    Hi,

    Has anyone any experience with a DIY spray foam insulation on a hot water cylinder? Cost? Effiency etc. ?

    Where could I get products in Dublin?

    High quality lagging jacket (or two) is almost as good V cost.

    Get it sprayed in situ by a contractor. I saw Doctor energy saver (USA) using the kits they looked good. Get a good three inchs of closed cell foam.

    Surely with the bulk of HWCs located in cramped hot presses, it would be near impossible to spray a complete cylinder effectively ? Agreed on the lagging jackets recommendation.

    Cylinders are spun when they spray foam them. As the lagging jackets are good or just replace the Cylinder for a lagged one.
