is there some kind of app or webpage that will calculate the amount of fuel need to go from point A to point B?

also on a 1.4 Fiat panda how much fuel would be needed to travel from carlow to tramore via R448

aa routeplanner online gives you a ballpark fuel useage. that trip is only around an hour each way. €20-25 for the round trip i'd say.

    www.viamichelin.com/web/Routes
will also give you a rough estimate, with toll costs etc

When using the AA route planner, click "Open fuel calculator" and enter your mpg, cost per litre as I find that the figures there aren't right for everyone but just their averages.

You will need about 5.5 - 6 litre of fuel each way to travel that route, so a €10 should do each way.

I would also be avoiding motorways. I noticed on AA it doesn't give me a direct route like Google maps do/

Go out to your car, check the MPG or L/100km. Go back in side. Get the distance on Google Maps. Pen and paper. Small bit of math and add about 10%. Its really the only way to do it accurately and even then, your talking ballpark at best.

Switch to old Google maps, it'll calculate for you.
