My feedback removed

Hi
Bit of a long story but I bought an expensive item on ebay based on the sellers feedback .
Anyway the item was far from satisfactory and I left negative feedback .

The same day 2 other buyers left negative feedback and a day later they all had disappeared ???

Contacted eBay and they said my feedback was automatically removed because it met some criteria ?

So I can't revise it or re post it now

Feedback on Ebay isn't worth a toss and cannot be trusted. I also had feedback i had left for a seller removed.
Ebay were not interested in giving me detailed reply when i mailed them. All they said was that the feedback system was trust based between seller and buyer.
In other words, Ebay will not investigate whether the feedback was warrented or not. They will remove negative feedback as the less negative feedback a seller has, the greater the chance of sales and Ebay/paypal make more money.

They would not disclose what the ctrteria was and said it was an automated system that deleted it .

I asked could I re submit a feedback and they said no

I pointed out that 2 other users had left negative feedback that day also and were removed too .

The company who sold the goods are being slated everywhere on other sites and googling their name throws up a mountain of complaints

Including yellow pages
What car magazine
Saab forums
The vauxhsll forum group

And even one guy has started a group deadacated to complaints about them .

Another buyer left a negative feedback last night
I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if that's deleted

I think there might be certain buzzwords, that if used in feedback the system will pick up on it and automatically remove it.

It could be against the rules here .

Plus a lot of the negative feedback has been removed already .

But the complaints against the company are all over the internet

as far as i can see ebay is removing /editing feedback for one of your major sellers and as a result i purchased something on the basis that the feedback i was reading was fair and not edited hense i trusted the seller to spend over £300 on a faulty part

ive been a member of the site a long time ,,,this is basically censorship of people trying to leave a negative feedback to warn other buyers ...something ebay has based it policy on

so basically you got a brick wall.

this is not very reassuring, if Amazon started this carry on, they'd go down hill fast.

it would put me off using eBay for anything over 50 Euro.
the fact PayPal will refund you is not USP, any site can use PayPal.

luckily i managed to open a dispute with paypal

its going very slowly
but ive supplies them with loads of links to their bad buissness practice

at the end of the day i bought an item for 300stg purely based on the sellers good feedback score
and i now discover that is highly edited in the favor of the seller by ebay themselves .

btw 2 other negitive feedbacks where left on thier page lastnight
ive a screenshot of it so if they dissapear too there is something very sinister going on with ebay

Thats really bizarre.

Just checked and techniclutch's last negative feedback was on the 6th April last.

Thats probably impossible with the quantity of items they are selling and with over 20,000 feedback.

Any seller that big no matter how good they are has to have negative feedback.

I wonder does this go on with all big sellers on eBay?

3 removed since last night

I asked eBay and their response was that the comment met a certain criteria and were automatically deleted

When I asked what the criteria was
I got a link that did not specify what it was .

Turns out feedbacks meeting certain
" undisclosed " criteria is removed

In the last few days all negative feedback and one neutral has been removed from this top trusted seller .

I've including my own documented 5 in the last 3 days
