Not only did they qualify, they topped the group with maximum points. They finished ahead of the group hosts (who failed to qualify, as they weren't in the top two of runners up). Not sure what that'll do for them in the next round, but it's a great achievement.

The Irish women's teams seem to have been doing very well in the last few years in Europe. Twice getting through the groups in the past four years and twice finishing runners up but not going through in the last five. The success has correlated with the foundation of the Women's League of Ireland, which has been one of the success stories for football in this country, men's or women's.

Great achievement, if it was Rugby it would get far more media coverage.

Peamount got to the quarter final a few years ago didn't they? Played against PSG in Tallaght?

Coverage was not great in yesterdays papers which is a shame considering they are the first Ladies team from Ireland to win a UEFA Ladies Champions League group.
Hopefully they will get better coverage for their knockout games in October.

Drawn against Bristol! Great draw for them.

Raheny to play Bristol. Bristol were the lowest seeded team (Raheny were ranked lowest overall), so maybe a good chance - relative to the likes of the French or German teams.

Home in the first leg on the 8th/9th of October. Second leg the following week. Presumably it'll be in Tallaght.

Can't stand raheny and their "fans" but delighted to see an Irish club team so well. Hopefully they go far and it impacts their league campaign! :D
