I have used this on spots around my chin and found it great.

I've also used it to deal with spots and scarring, and even though I was very skeptical at first, I was very impressed. I've definitely noticed it helping with congestion, and a lot of redness on my chin from acne scars looks a lot lighter, more like my natural skin tone. I'm sure it's different for everyone, but I'm hooked on it now!

I'm using it for lots(I mean lots) of hyper pigmentation and its very good after 8 days. I will use it for two months for full results hopefully

18 euros is good value if it keeps working

I developed some form of acne about two years ago. First time ever in my life, and I'm in my mid-thirties. I tried several things but LRP Effaclar Duo Plus was the miracle cure. Really cannot say enough good things about it, and about LRP in general.

Another vote for it here.. Have struggled to keep acne at bay a long time and it is brilliant

Apart from acne has anyone had any look with it on red marks left behind from old acne ?

I haven't found it great with my acne scars; it's turned them from red to brown but they're still visible. They probably fade a bit faster overall but I haven't found it to be a miracle cure.

I do find it great for keeping cystic acne at bay though. I only get big throbbing spots before my period now (rather than throughout the month), and far less of them than I did before I started using it.

My acne is slowly beginning to clear up the last few years, but I bought this product in an attempt to lighten the acne scars which cover my face. Duo plus worked amazingly for me in the first few weeks, with my skin having the least spots in ages - though I didn't notice any lightening of my scars.
However, as I continued to use it my skin got extremely dry and flaky. Towards the end of the tube I started to get numerous large and painful under-the-skin spots all over my face - something which I've never had before. They cleared up as soon as I stopped using the product.

I've been using Trilogy Rosehip Oil on my skin nightly for the last few weeks and it fixed the dryness caused from the duo plus, and has begun to lighten my scars.

How long did you use it for? Did you remove the brown spots or did they go away themselves?

How long in total did you use the product for?

I've been using it for about 5-6 months now. I didn't do anything else to get rid of the brown marks, and the remnants are still pretty visible, particularly on my cheeks.

Did it make them worse? Do you use it twice a day?

Not not really, it just changed the colour of them rather than exacerbating them or improving them. And yeah I use it twice a day, otherwise the cystic spots come back.

Sorry I don't mean to put you off the Effaclar Duo+ or anything. Plenty of people see great results with it; everyone's skin is just different!

Brown spots can be caused by sun on red marks. Even wearing sun lotion will not help you unless you wear SPFf 50 and a huge hat and stay out of direct sun at all times. Which is very hard to do in summer but possible until the problem is resolved. Did you sun bathe?

Perhaps it's new spots causing the red marks, Accutane is a great treatment and get to the root of the problem. A very famous doctor told me it can only be cured from the inside and topicals only fight fires and over time can leave poc marks.

Dont have the plus, Im still using the previous one, but it's possibly my favourite skin care product I've ever used.
I never had the worst of skin, a few spots, a bit of rosiness on my cheeks but used it anyway and thought it to be doing a good job.

However it was when I took a break from using it for a month or so(because I realised many people only use it as a treatment rather than daily) and my skin broke out quite badly and it got so, so oily. At first I couldnt figure out what caused it, went back to using it again and within a couple of days my skin looked well again.

I almost cant wait for my older one to run out to try out the plus :D:D

Its for acne and clogged pores not for pigmentation, you need something like neo strata for that
