    Hi Folks,

Just wondering if this is possible, to have audio from a second channel playing while watching one channel?

e.g. if you were watching a sporting event with german audio on one channel, could you pull in the audio from a channel showing the event with english commentary?

    Cheers,
    Mick

It's generally possible to do so on any digital receiver for channels on the same transponder if you can edit the audio PIDs.

The workaround I did recently was have the receiver broadcasting the video from Channel A, then I streamed the radio via the Open Webif using VLC on the PC.

Shame there isn't some sort of plugin, along the veins of PiP but for radio as 2nd source and no video box on the screen.

I love people who are so sure of themselves - it might've been better to say "I don't think so".

    Hmmm

micks_address search for the plugin AudioPiP in your image's repository.

If it's not there search for a version compatible with your image online.

It does exactly what you want it to do (including overlaying radio channels) and will also allow you to pause the feed channel to synchronise the audio but, the proviso is, the two channels need to be fed to separate tuners.

As you're using a toroidal this might not be the case for you.

I use it regularly to overlay MUTV audio over foreign broadcasts and it works really well.
