Campus accommodation - room types

    Hey there!

I just got accepted for the MSc International Mgm and I am therefore looking for an accommodation. As I can't come over from Austria to Dublin before 14 sept, I think it might be a good idea to get a room at the student accommodation offered by TCD (less complicated than renting a flat). The thing is, I am a bit confused when it comes to the room types. What is the difference between double and twin? And en-suite and flat? I would not like to share a room, therefore I want to know for what I am applying for :-)

Where are the best beds to offer a nice overnight stay to someone? (And maybe a bit more space for the feet, as I am quite tall)

    Thanks!

    Hey. Welcome to Trinity :)

A double room is a private room with a double (larger sized) bed in it.

A twin room is a larger bedroom with two single beds in it i.e, you are sharing the bedroom with another person.

An ensuite is a bedroom with a private bathroom/toilet

I'm not too sure what a flat is in this context but usually it refers to an apartment with a few stories that has a private entrance on ground floor level.

Hope that makes things a bit clearer.
