I see pumps.ie is listing prices for this station as being 999

    Is it closed again?
if so, is there any particular reason?

Knowing that place, 9.99 might not be far off the mark...

It's consistently been one of the cheapest stations in dublin since it was taken over by esso

Is 99.9¢/l petrol the actual price?

Are they trying to get rid of the petrol for some reason?

Really? I haven't actually looked at it since the days when they used to be almost literally twice the price of everywhere else.

I remember when it was Statoil in 2007, where petril and dayyysel were €1.85 a litre each when the next most expensive was €1.37, also in Dublin (I think the station beside the canal near the IDA) and the average price was €1.10 at the time....

And there was some poor sap filling up!!!!

I think they had stop the crazy pricing since the massive station at the port opened.

I presume you fixed the prices you were finding to be incorrect then?

Oh I remember that as well. It had an awful rep for being expensive but since it reopened under esso its been really cheap (well compared to what I see regularly).
It did get done for metering, but that was prior to esso taking it over.

I used fill up there using a fuel card and paying a fixed price per liter. Most others who used it at the time did similar.

Back in the early 2000s, before their prices went through the roof, it was the cheapest petrol station in Dublin for a long time wasnt it? I seem to remember that being the case when I started driving first.

Werent they also prosecuted for something a few years ago? Fiddling the pumps or something like that?

    142.9 for diesel today.

they used to do spur of the moment flash sales, where both fuels are reduced to 99.9c/L.

i always thought that those flash sales were ... interesting....

I mean, why would anyone want to suddenly empty their tanks of Diesel, at a loss.

No idea but the petrol stations in Newbridge did it a few years ago also. Seems like they got into some price war or something but whatever happened it meant that for one evening they were all charging something like 99 when everyone else was up around 125 at the time.
