Back to school allowance eligible?

Hi my husband gets a social welfare cheque payment by cheque every week through the casual work scheme. He leaves in the dockets signed by his employer every week. Would we be entitled to the back to school clothing and footwear allowance? He is the only person in the home working and we have 3 children, two of which are in the 4-18 qualifying age bracket. Thanks, I texted to receive the form and got a reply saying it would be sent within 5 days. Just wondering if casual workers are eligible. Thanks

It's means tested but I qualified and I leave in the same dockets as your Husband.

We sent the form back yesterday with proof of casual worker cheque he gets from social welfare. I assume this is what you sent?

I think you will also need to send in payslips. BSCFA section can see what he is getting on his casual claim.

Yes, I had to send a payslip along with the cheque receipt to prove we were under the income limit

Give them a ring tomorrow and let them know and ask can you send it on. I'm sure it will be ok.
