    715 Brendan Braken
Retains mark (111) from lto easy win although in a much harder race. Should be in the finish.

One that stands out today is Be Perfect in the 4.10 at Beverley 12/1 seems about 5 points too big. I long had my eye on him before he changed ownership and he seemed a smart horse including when placed in a Listed race at Lingfield at the back end of 2012 and was rated around 100.

Despite his pedigree he improved massively when stepped up to staying distances, winning a handicap at York over 2 1/4 miles last October off a mark of 80 comfortably beating Theology (who subsequently beat him a few runs later) and the third horse that day beat today's favorite Enchanted Garden by nearly three lengths off the same mark back in June.

He ran well a few times without winning, going down by a neck to Clerk's Choice at Lingfield off a mark of 85 and was the same position behind Theology next time before scooting in at Wolverhampton next time off a mark of 88 at Wolverhampton, making all and readily winning by six lengths.

He ran poorly three starts after that in much better races than this, but he really caught the eye two starts back at York when faring much better than the bare result suggests, making all and kicking clear four out and looking to have the rest in trouble before weakening, possibly going for home too early. Ran a good race last week when fourth of ten at Musselburgh over 1 3/4 miles off this mark. Step up in trip to suit and he could be a good back to lay at this price if they try and race prominently with him again. 12s very big even if the race does look competitive

Like Custom Cut in the Leopardstown 7.15. Was fourth, not too far off class act Gordon Lord Byron in the same race last year and there's nothng of that calibre to beat tonight. Has won his last two, rarely runs a bad race and if there's a bit of juice in the ground doubt it will do any harm

Not a great card overall, think the Weld filly should oblige in the following handicap

The only think putting me of was nicholls. Went for home way to early. Shot his load again and he did the same thing two runs back as well

In all my years backing horses I think that's only the second horse to get done at 1.01 I've had. There are few worse feelings I can think of

Would disagree there. Its a long way home and the horse idles a bit. I think chris hayes rode it brilliantly last year to win in york or ayr and he held on to it till two out.

No I'd only really cover my stake if its over a tonne. Would have left it at about evens or 2/1
