careful with posts like that - your google adsense might go a bit haywire :p

I'd go with a nice stripey NATO personally

    Cool looking watch E. :) I'd agree and say either a Nato or a steel mesh bracelet;

They look the mutt's nuts IMHO. About 30-40 quid on the bay. Nato is gonna run you under a tenner. Yea there are more expensive ones but IMH go by price as over the years I've rarely seen any difference in quality. I'd be going red in the Nato as a contrast with the watch which is monochrome.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Really like the look of the shark mesh straps - so much so that I'm looking for a nice vintage that will suit just so I can buy one.

    Thanks for the input folks,

I'm not really a fan of the mesh bracelets though :o

I have it narrowed down to 4 options now (apologies about the big pics)

I'd go for a combination of the 3rd and 4th - NATO with aged/distressed leather. I bought one very similar to the 3rd one, but it looked too new and nearly plasticky when it arrived (wasn't a particularly cheap one either).

But I got a nice one from Amazon a while ago that might do the trick?

Here's one of mine distressed leather NATO's:

I'm not sure if it would go well with that Raketa though.
    Maybe something red/white or grey/white?

Couldn't make up my mind so i've 3 straps ordered :D

I like the idea having a touch of navy on the strap to match the outer dial so I went for these

The other one is a aged leather jobbie, I'll decide which I like best when everything arrives

    Cheers

I'll see if I can dig out the link if you still need it.

The great thing about NATOs is how easy it is to swap them out depending on your mood; and you can transform the watch depending on whether you go leather / monotone / stripy etc. And they're dirt cheap.

Those sectime ebay straps are really good for the money. There's another good seller on ebay that specialises in nato straps, Rabomm is the seller name, very good value for money.

I have some south korean straps and they aren't bad for the money, but I do think the keepers and buckle are on the thin side and the fabric is a bit stiff.

I much prefer this sellers straps:
