I moved all the RTÉ Two posts to their own thread, before realising there were no RTÉ One related posts left!

Anyway, there's nothing radical this season really - "Charlie" will be the main talking point I'd imagine.

I'm mystified as to where the Imelda May Show is supposed to slot into the schedule - I assume its for a Sunday night or Wednesday perhaps?

Also I see Ryle Nugent, head of sport (and probably better known as RTÉ's lead rugby union commentator) is now Controller of RTÉ One, at least on an acting basis.

Adrian Lynch of Animo Television is the New controller of RTE One but he isn't taking up the job until November. Ryle was drafted in as a safe pair of hands, However I don't think it's the job he ever wanted. I think he's always been happy enough in the Sports Dept, far fewer headaches and a clear idea how to move forward with limited cash.

That Imelda May show has a old style RTE One Sunday Night feel to it. The type of show that used to go on at 9.20 after the News during the 80's and early 90's.
