Hi guys Im taking my girlfriend to Paris next March and just want to get some advice, going for 3 nights and don't know is it better to stay near the city centre or out near Disneyland. The hotels near Disneyland are alot nicer and cheaper but is it isolated apart from Disneyland? Would the city centre be better and just go out to Disneyland during the day, thanks guys.

    My own opinion

There is a train link direct from the city.

Food there is mostly junk ( from what I remember )

There are lots of good attractions there.

Some good shops for sweets etc.

Great parade at the end of the day.

Was there in June this year and I'd stay in the city. You can get a train out or a bus that you pay for as part of your ticket. Hotels get cheaper as you move from the city centre and with the metro it's very easy to get across the city.

Thanks for the reply, ya I was thinking the city centre, where would be the best place to get the Disneyland tickets online? Or wait till I get over there?

Depends on what you are doing on the trip. If you are going mainly for Disneyland, I'd stay there to cut down on the time spent traveling from hotel to the park. Plus, you get your tickets included with the accommodation.

If you are going for a city break, then stay in the city. You can always travel out for 1 day to the park if you want.

You could also stay 1 night in 1 location and 2 nights in the other location

I got them off their own site. Www.disneylandparis.ie was easy out. You just buy and can print them out.

Not really. And definitely not if you want to see both parks. And forget about it if it's a weekend day you visit.

You'd get to see the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées in the day though

The last time we booked only a few weeks beforehand and ended staying out by port de Orleans. Grand area with bakeries, restaurants, few bars and a few supermarkets. Only few mins on the metro and your in at sites.

Got tickets online with attractionticketsdirect.ie, were good value I thought.
I think you need more than a day to really take your time with the parks especially if you're queueing a lot for rides. We went for 2 full days, wish had 3. It takes ages to get in from Paris centre, I preferred staying in the town by the park. Enough affordable accommodation there and a huge supermarket where you can get your shopping to make own sandwiches or dinners if you don't like eating out. The park is open late enough and there's the cinemas and area you can go to if you wish to stay late.

I would stay out near Disney far far cheaper for better standard of accommodation some lovely accom in val durope 1 stop from disney and direct train into paris from there with trains back till nearly 1 in the morning. Lovely big shopping centre with outlet shops and nice bars and restaurants. Hotels in paris are very expensive for what you get and only around 5euro into paris on train from near Disney.

There is a few nice restaurants and bars around val durope some in the shopping centre and others in the village. Also festival disney has numerous bars and restaurants expensive enough but a few of the bars do 2 for 1s and the like .
