No-one knows the club, or the bouncers, so we can't give you a definite answer. Usually places are quite strict on nights like tonight where there is a possibility of younger people trying to get into places, so don't get your hopes up.

You could try, but don't get your hopes up. The Gardaí know that there will be a lot of 17 year olds trying to get in to places tonight, so the bouncers will be on their guard.

Give it a go. Get a loan of a friend or relative's student card, and take a passport showing your real DOB (sometimes they just pretend to look at passports but don't really check them). Have a backup plan in case it doesn't work out (pizza and beer in a friends?)

Using someone else's ID is in breach of section 26 of the theft and fraud offences act and is an arrestable offence. So please don't advise someone to go out and break the law.

Op, it's an offence to be on a licenced premises while underage however safe to say you won't be the only underage person to try get into a pub or nightclub tonight. If u are denied entry then just walk away and have back up plans.

There is no way he will get arrested for that, no reason why he can't give it a go.
