    Hello,
I'm hoping to do a CE Scheme. I know about the payment & hours end of things but would like to know what to expect. Is it a mixture of work experience and training or work first followed by training? How often do you meet the Supervisor (What do they do?) and can I decide the 19 1/2 hours a week I want to work or do they? Thanks.

Is it a mixture of work experience and training.

Exactly, mostly work experience with time in lieu for any courses that you do in the evening or time off if course is during the day.

You will work out suitable courses and career path with your CE Supervisor.
Training is a vip part of the scheme, and dsp insist on it and will track it.

On most schemes deciding your 19.5hrs is generally facilitated but does depend on the needs of each project.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

I'm 6 weeks into a job on the CE scheme. It's going well but today I was invited for interview for a regular job I had applied for before going on the CE scheme. This company is looking for a immediate start. If I'm successful, how much notice, if any, would I be required to give my supervisor on the CE? Thanks

I think it depends legally on how often you are paid. If you are paid weekly you can give a weeks notice.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Thanks Joey. Yes I'm paid weekly (very weakly) on the CE Scheme.
