I'm lead to believe these are supposed to be great headphones, alright (mostly from reading Boards).

Pity it's not the over ear that's on sale, though :o Would never find comfort in wearing on ear pads for a long time. Seems a quality deal, all the same. :)

Yup, I have the over ears but they're never reduced. The other half has these and they're great, at this price they're a real steal.

Anyone have a recommendation for a pair of over ear ones for about €50?

Have RS170s for home but looking for a wired pair for work.

    I bought these for work...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monoprice-Premium-Hi-Fi-Style-Headphone/dp/B007SP2CO2/

Around 26e delivered, they are closed which is a key requirement if you are in shared office environment. The sound is astonishing for the price and they have some nice touches like the removable/interchangable single cord. They are also very comfy for a day long coding session (or whatever it is you do :) ) Here is a head-fi user review and a long subsequent forum where audiophiles talk about modding them etc.

They are considered to be something of a secret gem in the States where Monoprice are a large own brand online company. I also have a pair of their in-ears, ugly brutes but amazing sound (and they stay in my ears!), all for under 10 euro!

    Cheers Phibsboro.

Those will do the job nicely. Really like the option of the different length cables. Comfort is Key too which is why I prefer Over ear rather than in ear.

Just picked up a pair! :)

Saw these in HMV liffey Valley last week for 129. Didn't seem to be a limited time offer either. Not as cheap as amazon but not far off.

Got these in HMV Belfast two weeks ago for 104.99stg They are outstanding headphones for this kind of money (i.e. around 120-130 euros)
